Why the Electoral college matters

Those who were upset about the results of Election 2016 will inevitably say that we should abandon the Electoral college process America uses to elect our Presidents. Make no mistake, those wishing to do this are clearly on the Democrat party, a number being candidates for the 2020 Presidential election.

Election 2016 is the perfect example of why the Electoral College is so important to all of us, even to the people whose candidate did not win this time around. Looking at this heat map below of how the votes played out by county, you cannot help but think how many counties across America did not vote for Hillary. Those who voted blue last time immediately said "well Hillary won because she got more votes!"

Can anyone honestly say that for the United States of America to continue to exist, small sections of the country (where large populations live) - should decide for everyone else what the entire country wants?

Do you understand the Electoral College
When you see videos like this one (below), it's hard to argue that if the Electoral college did not exist, those small areas in blue would have decided for all the rest of the areas in red. To those who voted for Hillary and were so bitterly disappointed, that might sound great, but what happens when things shift in America, as they always do, are those Blue voters going to agree that the popular vote is still fair? Not likely.

The Popular Vote vs. the Electoral College
Even more, this video (below) does a great job discussing how the Electoral College helps fight against voter fraud and the tyranny of the majority. Watch this closely to understand how NPV (National Popular Vote) might actually circumvent the Electoral College.

This is so important for all Americans - especially at a time when the issue of illegal immigrants being granted the right to vote is a real concern.

Getting the Electoral College to become "faithless"
Take a look at this: Some very ignorant Hollywood elites even tried to steal the Electoral College vote from Americans.

This ridiculous plot to get Electoral College voters to agree with Hollywood dum dums was a huge fail. They wanted Electors in the Electoral College to vote against Trump. As it turns out, Madame "almost" President had more defectors than Trump, making her loss even more severe.

You don't have to like President Trump or be happy with the results of Election 2016 to still feel the Electoral College has real value to all Americans. Simply put, in the future, when a Presidential candidate you do like is up for election, the Electoral College may be the only way they have a chance of winning.
